THIS WINTER GIVE THEM WARMTH WITH YOUR HEART
The approach of winter is a source of anxiety for many IDP’s and refugees around the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a major toll on individuals all across the globe — mentally, physically, and financially. A UN estimate warns that the pandemic and stay-at-home orders aimed at staunching the spread of the virus could plunge half a billion people into poverty by the end of this year.
Verse from Qur’an:
“Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.”
Quran, 5:32

There are currently 70 million people around the world forced from their homes, living in poverty. This year, more than ever, winter is bringing a new and deadly threat to their lives. Basic essentials like food, fuel, and heat have become life-saving for single mothers, children, and families.
It is our responsibility to help these millions in need to find safety and warmth. We must do all that we can to help them survive.
Without adequate shelter, clothing, blankets, heat, and basic food items — these individuals in need may freeze to death.
Over the past few years, we have continuously witnessed the most vulnerable in their suffering, including the Rohingya and Syrian refugees, as well as other children and families in Gaza, Yemen, Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, to name just a few. Some of these individuals are on the brink of survival. When the cold hits and the bitter chill reaches deep into the bones, they suffer the most, picking up severe illnesses and experiencing near-death like symptoms.
Muslim Aid USA is raising funds to help support those in most need this winter, providing them with the safety, heat, and food they need to survive and maintain good health. Through the funds raised, we will give the gift of warmth through blankets, fuel heaters, clothing, and bedding.
Last year, over 30,000 people benefitted from the response of MAUSA and our generous donors. Each year, we strive to make more of a difference, and it is only possible with your help.
