PAKISTAN – SHELTER AND CONSTRUCTION
Model Villages, Pakistan
Following Pakistan’s devastating floods in 2010 and 2011, people lost their homes, possessions and livelihoods. Many were left with little hope of regaining what they once had.
Through construction of Model Villages in Mianwali, Rajanpur, Charsadda, Dadu and Thatta, communities were given another chance to do just that. Each village was provided with newer and safer housing, fully equipped primary schools, clean water and sanitation facilities and health care centres. These newer and stronger foundations helped communities to restore hope for a better future.
