A deadly earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale has hit the island of Sulawesi in Palu, Indonesia, triggering a tsunami which has led to widespread devastation and destruction.
More than 380 people have died and the death toll is said to rise, with hundreds more trapped, injured and traumatised. Buildings have been destroyed and damaged, causing thousands to flee the area in panic, as search and rescue operations are underway.
