Washington DC, ( July 12th, 2020) Muslim Aid USA was recently made aware of serious allegations of abuse against, a well-known Qari, who has a very large social media presence. As a social media influencer, the individual has worked with a host of organizations to raise awareness and funds for various charitable causes.

The individual has in the past, participated in various projects promoting Muslim Aid’ USAs charity work, as an influencer. Muslim Aid USA works with faith leaders and social media influencers from around the world to ensure that its charitable work has a global reach.

As an institution, we strongly believe that women should be heard and should feel safe and secure to bring issues of abuse to the public. We believe that institutions should have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to any type of abuse or harassment, period. We stand with women around the world who have reached the level of courage to come forward and speak up.

We are reviewing all our social media relationships as a result of these allegations. As a result of these allegations, Muslim-Aid USA is severing its affiliation with Mr. Sefaragic and will allow the due process to take its course.

We pray for justice and healing for all victims of abuse.

The Board of Directors at Muslim Aid USA would like to announce that our Executive Director, Mansoor Sakhiy, will be leaving the organization by the end of this year. Under his leadership, our organization has grown from infancy to a multi-million dollar charity. This growth not only represents an increase in aid to those in need, but also represents the increased opportunity for donors to give. We thank Mr. Sakhiy for his commitment and leadership throughout the past three years, and we wish him the best as he embarks on the next chapter in his career.

Daud Mohmand, who was previously Director of Operations at MAUSA, has been appointed Interim Executive Director. Mr. Mohmand has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector and has a track record of successfully managing multi-million dollar projects. The Board is confident that Mr. Mohmand will continue to execute the mission and vision of Muslim Aid USA in the most effective way possible.

Washington DC, (Feb 7, 2022) Muslim Aid USA (MAUSA) announces the hire of Azhar Azeez as the new Executive Director, effective immediately, to lead and grow the organization.  “MAUSA had a comprehensive search for an Executive Director and is excited to welcome Mr. Azeez to lead the organization into the future.” said Monem Salam, President of the Board of Muslim Aid USA.  “Azhar joins us at a time of tremendous growth for the organization, and his talents in not only fundraising, but also institutional building will propel the organization to further heights”

Mr. Azeez’s background has been dedicated to Muslim non-profit work.  He has been a member of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)’s Executive Council since 2002; first as the Central Zone Representative, and then as the Vice President from 2010-2014. He was elected as the President of ISNA in 2014 for two terms ending in 2018. Professionally, Mr. Azeez recently served as the Senior National Director of Islamic Relief USA.  He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the prestigious Osmania University (India).
